On March 15 several members of the TMLT manned the stands at the polling stations handing out How to Vote leaflets on behalf of the outgoing mayor and friend of TMLT, Joy Drescher. The weather looked threatening and at one time it did drizzle, but by noon the sun had come out and proceeded to turn my arms from a delicate tan to red, with the pain to go with it!

We have now heard that, regretfully, Joy did not make it past the post and the new Mayor is John Brent. John is a bit of an unknown quantity to us and I hope he will prove to be as good a friend to the Zamia as his predecessor.
